To promote diversity, equity and inclusion in urology through advocacy, sponsorship, scholarship, and engagement.

Collaborating with urologic leadership organizations, our next steps will include:

  • Recruiting collaborators for this grassroots effort
  • Publishing a list of mentors, coaches and sponsors for underrepresented minority faculty and trainees in urology
  • Developing a list of initiatives/actions that individual urologists, urology departments and divisions, and urology leadership organizations can pursue now and in the future
  • Developing metrics for self-evaluation and monitoring, as well as landmarks for success
  • Developing a list of studies/resources for self-education
  • Publishing and facilitating studies that highlight DEI needs in our field
